He read every poem in it (it was a 6-hour flight) without saying a word. When he finished, he looked at me and told me the book had changed the way he looked at the world. Another reader told me that she keeps "Moments from the Side Yard" on her bedstand because she likes to read one poem a night and think about it. I love imagining her feeling happier before she goes to sleep!(less)

Angela Bell Julien Just write! It is so hard to get started. I like to sit at my computer and dictate for a little while to get the story, poem, idea going. Once I "talk…moreJust write! Also, write from your heart. Don't try to go too big--have fun.(less)

I Love Coaching

During covid, I realized how much I enjoyed face-to-face coaching. Maybe that is why I spent my virtual time with coaching colleagues writing "The Instructional Coaching Handbook."
