My experience is that you need to differentiate between styles of writing. When I completed my Masters thesis it was all about meeting a deadline. It was a case of just long hours of writing and preparing graphs and charts. In short story writing it is different as this is creative and you need to first have a good story and second to be in the mood. I find that it is harder when I stop writing for a period to get back into the mood. I have just completed my third book and this has taken much longer than planned.(less)

NEW SPY THRILLER

Just finished a new spy thriller- a stand alone novel which is also a sequel to Operation Iran. This is currently in the process of being read for feedback as I strongly appreciate honest feedback. After this I will revisit the novel and make changes based on the feedback, then I will go through many times editing and fine-tuning. Once I'm happy I will format and send to a proof reader. Brian Wilson TO C.J. Heck
Thanks for being a friend. As you can see I am new to using social media and hopelessly lost, but I am slowly getting there. My book "Moments in Time- a collection of short stories", was published last year and I have just completed my next book of short stories which I plan on coming out in September. I recently returned from Japan and China; two countries which will feature in this new book. I hope you enjoy reading "Moments in Time". If you are interested there are more details on my website: brian-d-wilson.com and blog http://brian-d-wilson.blogspot.co.nz/
I also have a blog in wordpress but I may need to get my son to sort this one out.
