Rand writes books about Economics. He bases his own economic theories on his experiences as a senior manager at a national bank, international construction firm, national retail chain and as an executive at an urban commercial developer. Rand holds an MBA and undergraduate degree from Oberlin College. He is currently a lecturer and writer trying to correct the many misunderstandings of how to manage a national economy. His main interest is monetary policy.

Some days the work is easy and other days you must chip away at a tough vein in the stone you are carving. I think the best way to avoid writer's block is to know what you are trying to say. Why are you writing? What do you want to tell people? How do you want to reader's to feel or understand?

I often lean back in my chair and ask--what does the reader want to know or need to know. Thinking about the reader's wants always shows me the direction to proceed.(less)
