When J.T. Bock was a child, she wanted to be James Bond or Indiana Jones or a vampire hunter or Wonder Woman. Whatever brought her the most action, adventure and romance while play acting on her stage—otherwise known as her grandmother's basement. Wine and coffee. Not necessarily in that order. ;)

Actually, the best cure is talking it out with my husband or critique partners. After I kvetch about being frustrated with my latest WIP to the point of not writing, my friends may offer up the following: "What if you did this?" or "Would it work better if X actually told Y about the stuff and the thing during the scene?" or "I think this is fabulous as it is. Such a fantastic story. I want to read more."

They give me the kick in the butt I need to break through the writer's block. (less)

There is nothing more fulfilling than having others read my work and enjoy my story. It is truly special to touch total strangers in such a positive way.
