Amber K. Bryant is an award-winning speculative fiction and romance writer living deep within Sasquatch territory in Washington State. These slumps were caused by the burn out many of us face when we are trying to juggle a full-time day job, a family, plus a growing writing career. Allowing myself a few days off will usually resolve this, as will having a concrete deadline I'm working towards.

I'm not a huge plotter, but the plotting I do do is vital. If you are struggling with writers block, I suggest learning about plotting and structure. It's much harder to have writer's block if you've already mapped out how the story is going to end and have at least a loose idea of what will happen in each chapter to get you to that ending. (less)
