“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” — Winston Churchill.
Who knew that 60 years after he died, this quote would continue to resonate with me and manifest in my own life?

“Surrounding yourself with the right people can help you navigate a world which often seems against you at times.”

“I have to constantly suppress my anger every day, which is quite exhausting in the long run, and I just want to scream out all my anger all the time.”

“Our existence is only temporary, so why don't we just do what we enjoy? We all have to do a job, but why can't we just have a bit of fun?”

“From our house, I could see a hill
Where pineapples grew, quiet and still.
It was such a beautiful view;
I had a lot of dreams about it, like a utopia beyond the hill.
Mom said it was near a deep, wide river,
I went there to get dry wood for fire.”

“Like many other people, I have been using my experiences to tell me who I am, but it doesn’t have to be that way anymore. I am now reframing who I am regardless of what I experience outside and I am trying to separate my experiences from my identity. I know that I am enough being the way I am, with being behind in life, having a speech problem and all that. I know that the right people who are aligned with me will accept me and that I was never the reason for the ones who didn’t. So, I keep reminding myself of my new story and I can say that I am slowly beginning to accept it.”

“True bravery isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s in letting go of plans, leaning into life’s unpredictability, and choosing presence over perfection. Bravery is about embracing the messy, beautiful flow of life, staying true to yourself and your values, and allowing yourself to change, grow, and (un)become along the way.”

“Always aim for you: make yourself happy, do not please others or anticipate their expectations of you and find the virtue of selfishness and apply it.”

“I believe everyone has their own destiny. Either I am destined to be married or I will die first. I just want my destiny to arrive in its own time.”

“Let us still choose to be good despite the hardships and pain we have suffered; giving up is not the solution. Let us always call on the Lord.”

“I am someone who survives.”

“Life, for me, has never been a straight road. It flows more like a river—sometimes calm, sometimes wild, sometimes carrying us to places we never meant to go. There are seasons when the water is clear and kind, and others when it is murky and heavy. But within that current, I learned to swim, to fall, to rise again, and to understand that every twist has its own purpose.”

“The body is your first home—treat it with tenderness and patience.”

“Mountains are not conquered; they walk beside you, teaching humility and grace.”
