A sincere thanks for landing here.

My background in a nutshell: Seven-industry (including oil & gas) business guy; former US Army officer (mustang); firearm versed; amateur radio operator (ham). Most important is the fact that I have been a voracious reader since childhood. I suspect most of you share that attribute or you wouldn’t be part of Goodreads.

Roll it all together and you have the underpinnings of my action novel, Fracture Gradient. You can depend on a period-accurate backdrop, firearm action that makes sense, radio communications that don’t defy physics or logic, and regular people doing highly irregular things! No ninjas, super-hero’s, or special forces operators. The quickest link to Fracture Gradient is via Amazon at bookShow.

Hi David,

Thanks for reading Fracture Gradient, the 5-star rating, and the question!

I do have a new story currently percolating between "partial manuscript" and "still in my head." I intended to feature Fletcher Boyd as the lead protagonist, set in the 1990's, but am considering moving it forward in time to a more current setting. Unfortunately, Fletcher would be in his 60's and perhaps not quite up to the task. I'll need to come up with a younger person to work with Fletcher, or just a new group of characters.

Thanks again for the support and interest. Any comments and suggestions welcome!

Best Regards,

Holiday Calm & Reflection

It’s easy for some of us to look back at the ‘80’s with nostalgia and reflection. Others can only imagine the magic of the time. So much was happening yet, in many ways, it was life in a less complex world and at a different pace.

I captured both the excitement and differences in Fracture Gradient. So relax by the fire and relive or imagine how different analog life was just a short time ago.

Wow! I've enjoyed each Doc Ford Mystery book that I've read but this one really blew my socks off at the end. It is a little heavier subject matter than the others I've read and a lot of introspection on the part of Doc. Still the warm writing style ...more

Hi Lisa,
Yes, the John Corey character is spectacular and makes Nelson DeMille one of my all time favorite authors. The only Corey story that I thought fell a little flat was The Panther. Or maybe Corey was so potent in that one that he even irritated me :-)

Goodreads is a lot of fun and very useful. That said, I admit to not having it completly figured out, either. I just found your post today and it shouldn't have taken me five days to do it :-)

Happy reading back at you.
Jim

L.M. Giannone Hi Jim, thanks for your note regarding our mutual admiration of author Nelson DeMille. I love all of his books, my favorite being Plum Island, the debut of my favorite literary character, John Corey. I am a bit new to goodreads and have yet to take advantage of its features. Sorry for my delay in responding. Happy Reading! Lisa
