I followed the London Life Insurance Freedom 55 Plan and retired early at 57 BUT, one year later, I was asking myself "Is This It - Is this all I'm going to do for the rest of my life -cut grass and play golf? I'm only 57!"

Disillusioned with the passivity of retirement, I returned to the workforce with a small First Nations band in a remote location in Canada's far north. The experience resulted in a paradigm shift in how I looked at the world and ignited in me a new passion to help others less fortunate.

When I left the north I went to Bangladesh for two years, and then on to Nigeria, Jamaica, and Guyana as an International Development volunteer with Cuso International

After I left the north in 2004, I went to Dhaka, Bangladesh as an International Development adviser, and then on to Nigeria, Jamaica and Guyana in the same capacity over the next 4 years. That's what my second memoir, "Go For It - Volunteering on Roads Less Traveled" is all about.

Now I am into the next chapter of life - settled down in my home city of London, Ontario where I spend a lot of time with my children and grandchildren.

I look forward to reading your review.
