I’m Rob Davis, an HGV mechanic from Gloucestershire who somehow ended up becoming a blogger and published author.

I started The Plain and Simple Guy in 2021 because I had too much going on in my head and needed somewhere to put it. There was no grand plan. I just wrote honestly about life, mental health, music, work, grief and whatever else happened to be on my mind. More than 500 posts later, I’m still doing it.

Midnight is my first novel. It’s a dark erotic romance about Jack and Celeste, two stubborn people pulled into something intense, complicated and far deeper than either expected.
