Jack Shaw brings real world experience to whatever he writes. Not many can claim a background in two military services, enlisted in the Marines and an officer in the Air Force, followed by government service. He is retired now from the military and the Federal government. But that's not all.

As the Host for an international Training and Development web site, his weekly articles are translated into more than 60 languages. He has been a columnist and reviewer for STAGE Magazine and continues to write several articles a week for various blogs.

He is the author of four e-books, including his best seller, "The Cave Man Guide to Training and Development" and an e-novel, "Harry's Reality," the first of a series of science fiction adventures that dr

Since I write theatrical reviews, I sometimes will look at my research again--even to go as far reading reviews from others to see if I'm on track or they are totally off. All about new ideas or makin old ones pop.(less)

Sometimes, things have to go to find time to write and market. Even though I write science fiction, I still try to make it a realistic extrapolation of my world. Perhaps, that's my probablem. My characters are too much like real people.(less)

The Caveman Guide to Training and Development, II, to be Released!

Picture2More CAVE wisdom on training and development. I know it’s been a while since the first volume, but I think you find this one just as good as The Caveman Guide to Training and Development my original Best Seller.

Also, a note on In Makr’s Shadow. Coming out with a new look. This version is too dark. The book is less about darkness and more about the light. Not your clichéd futuristic end-of-world, m

“Mindful of this hesitation, Desiree persisted in her physical seduction by pulling her shoulders back—thereby extending her breasts, tilting her head, raising her right eyebrow, and smiling. She blew him a kiss. Who could resist that?”
Jack Shaw, In Makr's Shadow

“I'd be a better writer if I could type better. Or, maybe proofread better the first twelve times.”
Jack Shaw

“One needs no strange spiritual faith to worship the earth.”
John Cowper Powys

“The dream shows the inner truth and reality of the patient as it really is: not as I conjecture it to be, and not as he would like it to be, but as it is.”
C.G. Jung, Memories, Dreams, Reflections

Jack Shaw The Innocent (Will Robie,#1) by David Baldacci Almost finished with Baldacci's The Innocent. Been reading it in favor of Tom Clancy's "Against All Enemies." Baldacci's an e-book and Clancy's paper. Depends on what I have at bedtime. I read Dan Brown's latest (paper) while I was on a week cruise; it was an art lesson, a mystery and a chase scene. Other than that, nothing special.

Jack Shaw While I'm not ready to do the entire audio book yet (that was my original plan), I am going to perform/read Harry's Reality in bits and pieces and offer clips on my blog page http://shawsreality.com and here. I have severe dry mouth that has kept me off the stage, but I can still do short bits. I'm hoping it will be a nice added feature when someone comes to my page.

Jack Shaw I know other writers get this way. If it wasn't so early and if I really drank a lot, I'd be crying in my beer right now. You write an epic science fiction novel, like "In Makr's Shadow," even offer it for free, and all you can do is imagine it must be the length that is keeping people from reading it. Little do they know there are many jewels inside, and obstacles, along with twists and turns along the way.
