I ended up being a book author without setting out to be one. I have been a writer, however, all my life, so maybe this was just the next step.

The first book I wrote, Fields of Gold: A Love Story began as a project to preserve my parents' story and our family's story, and turned into a memoir of our lives that chronicles the good times and bad times, the ups and downs, and the miracles - and there were - many of our lives together.

I'm an introvert's introvert, so I don't process things on the spot, and often my verbal responses, unless the topic is something I know like the back of my hand, either aren't there or are stupid.

Writing gives me the opportunity to combat my own verbal inadequacies.(less)
