Chaos Quarter Update! Book 5
Hey everyone. Writing to let you all know that I have finished a first draft on a new Chaos Quarter book, the fifth in the series. Think of the crew trapped and helpless on a planet ruled by a mafia-style crime syndicate, and having to find a way to get out and get home. Plenty of editing and rewrites left to do, so I can't give a date yet, but I'm hoping for some time this summer. Keep an eye out!

Rex Vahl just wanted to go home, that’s it. After more than a year in the Chaos Quarter, fighting everything from intergalactic hordes to genetic supremacists, he wants nothing more then to limp back to the Free Terran Commonwealth for a well-deserved break, alongside his friends and the woman he loves. But the universe isn’t that kind. With his ship damaged from months of fighting, he finds himself caught by surprise, his vessel crippled by pirates he normally wouldn’t think twice about. Before he can react he finds half of his crew captured, and the remainder stranded on a hidden world ruled by a vicious crime syndicate. Already stretched to a breaking point, he now finds himself vastly outnumbered, and without the usual technological edge he’s grown to rely on. If he tries to fight, he faces near certain defeat. If he doesn’t, good friends will be sold into slavery. He's used to fighting for people who need the help, but now he’ll be fighting out of anger and desperation, conditions he is not at all accustomed to…

Lucius Alvadile was looking forward to nothing more then getting home to his wife and young son, who he hasn’t seen in nearly a year. Hurting at missing so many milestones, he’s in no mood for another adventure. But since when has that ever mattered to the universe?
When the ship is taken by surprise Lucius finds himself captured, in the hands of mafioso slavers who rule a world with an iron fist. Making it worse, when they realize who he is, they set him aside to sell to the Europan Empire, the people he betrayed and fled years earlier. Lucius finds himself at the mercy of the syndicate’s don, a psychopath with growing mental instabilities, awaiting torment and death at the hands of people who revile him. But all hope is not lost. Rex is still out there, and Lucius may be able to get back at his captors in some way, using those same instabilities to strike at his captor’s psyche. Will he get out of this mess alive, or just be the next victim of a slave empire?

He’s taken on ravaging space hordes and genetic supremacists bent on destroying every last ‘primitive’ human they can find. His ship has been shot up, his crew has been put in danger, he’s nearly lost the woman he loves, and he’s had to deal with stowaways who’ve snuck themselves onto his ship. But the universe is not a kind place. After a hidden gravity well sends his battered ship off course, he finds himself ambushed, his vessel crippled by pirates he normally wouldn’t think twice about. These thugs make their money off slavery, and a city that’s basically a criminal version of Las Vegas, where every vice and evil can be found for a price. Worse still, it’s ruled by a vicious don that’s smart enough to know there’s more to power than brute force. Already stretched to a breaking point, Rex now finds himself vastly outnumbered, and without the usual technological edge he’s grown to rely on. The only people he can turn to for help are pacifist ideologues, who seem to think it’s more moral to be subjugated than dare use violence. If Rex tries to fight, he faces near certain defeat. Hey all, my latest western adventure novel has been sent off for final, professional copyedits. Took me a little longer than expected, but it's on its way. Looking forward to publishing, probably some time in the next two months, Keep an eye out!
