Only the Light We Make
Announcing open submissions for 'Only the Light We Make' Volume Three of Tales from the world of Adrian's Undead Diary.
With a foreword written by Mark Tufo and similar in theme to volume one, OTLWM will be composed of short stories written by fans and authors from the genre, as well as a handful of stories written by myself to further the world of Adrian Ring.
I've already gotten several exclusive submissions from some of the post-apocalyptic genre's finest authors, and there are many more to come. The always talented James Foster has agreed to narrate the book as well.
This will be a star-studded anthology if there ever was one.
Here's your chance to nab some fame, and some cash. OTLWM offers print copies, pdf and mobi versions, as well as audio copies usable via Audible. It is also a paying anthology @2.5 cents per word.
If you have a post-apocalyptic story you'd like to submit, you may message me on Facebook, or here on Goodreads for the email address to do so. Please set your stories in the world of Adrian Ring, following the rules set forth in the books. You may use any of the canonical characters, but if your story alters the timeline of the core tale, or its future, your story will be passed on. Stories should be between 500 and 7,500 words.
Manuscripts should be formatted in Times New Roman or Calibri, 12pt font and should be in .docx format. Do not use underlines to emphasize text. Stories are due to me for evaluation by September 30th, 2016.
Planned publication for Only the Light We Make is early December, and pre-orders will go up sometime in September.
And then, The Last Resort.

Ambryn is here!
If you're an audio book junkie, then get excited.
Ambryn & the Cheaters of Death, is here. Narrated by James Foster, and featuring the dragon of death in Sin City, Ambryn should give you a solid week of excitement.

Patreon and stuff
So I started up this little Patreon thing.
It's remarkably similar to the work I did on the original AUD website, especially the premium content.
Essentially patrons (that's hopefully you) pledge a few dollars or more per month for access to exclusive stuff.
I set up the plans ($2, $3.33, $5, $10 and $50) and each level gets progressively cooler stuff. Not to mention when I get to $200 total per month in patrons, I'm mailing out beer coozies to everyone.
So you can see what you can expect, I've got some behind the scenes maps up, as well as the first chapter of my new WIP, THE PHONE.
Chapter two goes up for Patrons in less than a week, I think.
Plus eventually I'll start sharing new AUD.
We'll see.
Here's a link, and if you decide to become a patron, thank you so much, and I hope I make your pledge worth it.

Philly charity event, plus Patreon
Couple quick things before I go get the family packed for the trip this week;
Patreon is where you want to be, if you want early access to stuff. Right now if you’re a patron over there you’ve got access to half of The Phone, the first two entries of the upcoming AUD novella The Other Side, as well as the new novel, The Dealer of Hope.
You’ve got multiple early access images from the comic book I’m developed with Jason DeBit, and if you’re a patron at the Trinity level or above, you get your name on an acknowledgements page in my books.
Writing pay is inconsistent, spread out across the year, and the few hundred bucks Patreon sends our way really helps. I know money is tight, but if you have a few bucks spare, it really adds up for the girls and I.
https://www.patreon.com/ChrisPhilbrook
And, we’re headed to Philadelphia.
Three of the last four years I’ve attending Operation First Response’s Walk for the Wounded 5k. OFR is crazy good people, doing crazy good things for US Veterans. I have a tent just off the 5k with my merchandise, and I donate all my proceeds to them at the end of the day. It’s a huge win/win.
Because it’s a nice summer day, with low key tempo, if you come to say hi, we can probably actually talk. If you ever wanted to hang out, and you want to make the trip to Rose Tree Park in Media this Saturday the 19th, please come say hi. Here are the details; https://www.facebook.com/events/33071...
So yeah. Tons going on, super buys, at least 4 novels releasing this year plus a novella and a comic book.
Oh, and we have two daughters, a house, a dog, and we’re trying to manage a social life too.
Life is real good.
Thanks everyone. Hope to see some of you in Philly this weekend.

Happy Adrian Day!
Guess who's out today?
The Dealer of Hope, y'all!
Adrian forgave himself. The undead have been banished and he's accepted the love of friends, family, and some strangers. He's started a better life.
Bastion grows day after day as pilgrims come to put down roots near the vaunted Trinity. Crops are growing, babies are being born, supplies are being salvaged, restful dreams are being had, and there's even talk that the government is surfacing to reform.
All his problems should be getting better now, right?
But some battles begin after the last shot is fired.
They call themselves The Northern Valley Cooperative.
Adrian's known about them for years. Always on his fringe, never in his face, they built a fortress out of a ski resort, and brought everyone near them to heel. And now, with winter bearing down on Adrian's world, the NVC is marching south.
Are they friends, or are they foes?
Either way, Adrian's got a loaded gun on his hip, and he's surrounded by people he'd die for.
He just might.
The Dealer of Hope contains Adrian's Journal entries from September 21st, 2013 through November 30th, 2013. It also contains the side fictions, Desperation, Junkyard Dogs, Strange Bedfellows, No One's Home, A City Laid Asunder, and One Last Hurrah.
