This always fastenated me, as did horror movies featuring werewolves. I combined my passions into the Jook and Gypsies series. (less)

My editor and I added a Rom dictionary and a table of contents. We changed the font size to large, and the paper color to cream for a more pleasant read on the eyes.. We also resized the printed version to match the size of the other two books currently published in the series.

Intelligent, interesting, slow burn.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The author is factual and descriptive. I feel I visited Scotland, and am akin it's moors, glens, locks and seas.
The storyline is fantastic!

“Maybe she saw the sweet persimmon sunrise─or maybe she was already too far gone.”
Shirley A. Martin, Bloodline Gypsy: Jook and Gypsies vol. 1

“She could see now that some of the grime that covered him was blood. He looked to be six or seven years old. His ribs were showing and his belly sunk in towards his spine, leaving a hollow above his hips.”
Shirley A. Martin, Bengalo Moon: Jook and Gypsies Vol. 2

“He was naked as a jaybird and covered in filth. He moved towards her with the same eerie grace that he had scaled the side of the barn, stopping to sniff the wind and look suspiciously around...His eyes were not yellow now; they were as black as his hair.”
Shirley A. Martin, Bengalo Moon: Jook and Gypsies Vol. 2

“Get busy living or get busy dying.”
Stephen King, Different Seasons

“Ramoth's huge golden wedge-shaped head swiveled around as the sleepy dragon instinctively sought her Wyermate.”
Anne McCaffery

“Atticus, he was real nice."

"Most people are, Scout, when you finally see them.”
Harper Lee, To Kill a Mockingbird

“Hidden in a toolbox, in the rafters of his four-car garage, was an envelope full of pictures taken by a private detective...They were pictures of a scrawny, boyish looking nine year old with a wide mouth and a tangle of brown hair...Her eyes were oblong and deep set, their color hidden from the camera by the slant of the sun. The angles and planes of her face were oddly beautiful just then, in that moment, frozen on Kodak paper. A hint of the woman she would someday become.”
Shirley A. Martin, Bloodline Gypsy: Jook and Gypsies vol. 1
