Alexandru Lamba s-a născut în 1980, la Brașov. Este absolvent al facultății de Inginerie Electrică și Știința Calculatoarelor, în prezent activând în domeniul IT.
În domeniul literar, a debutat în Gazeta SF cu o povestire în 2013.
În registru SF, a publicat două romane: „Sub steaua infraroșie” (ed. Tritonic, 2016) și „Arhitecții speranței” (ed. Tritonic, 2017), un volum de proză scurtă „Singurătatea singularității” (ed. Herg Benet, 2018) și volumul „Cărări pe gheață”, primul al seriei Young-Adult „Stele și gheață” (ed. Herg Benet, 2019). A scris scenariul pentru albumele de bandă desenată „Focurile lumii noi” (ed. Geek Network, 2018) și „Povești din lumi și timpuri” (ed Pavcon, 2022), ilustrat de Alexandra Gold.

În 2022, a publicat romanul realist „Șapte virtuți deșarte și o păcătoasă moarte”, la editura Litera, în colecția „Biblioteca de proză contemporană”.
A publicat proză scurtă în diverse reviste, printre care: „Revista de cultură Familia”, „Știință și tehnică”, „Almanahul Anticipația” (ed. Nemira), „Colecția de Povestiri Științifico-Fantastice CPSF” (ed. Nemira), „Revista Galileo” (ed. Millennium).
Este membru fondator al clubului ANTARES Science-Fiction & Fantasy din Brașov. Între 2015 și 2019 a fost redactor-șef al revistei online Gazeta SF, iar între 2019 și 2023 a fost editor al revistei online Galaxia 42, ambele fiind publicații dedicate literaturii SF și Fantasy.
Pentru „Sub steaua infraroșie” a primit premiul pentru cel mai bun debut la festivalul Sci+Fi Fest 2017, organizat de revista Știință și tehnică, premiul pentru cel mai bun debut la Antares Fest 2017, precum și o nominalizare la premiul Vladimir Colin. Pentru „Arhitecții speranței” a primit premiul pentru cel mai bun roman SF al anului 2017 la Antares Fest 2018. „Singurătatea singularității” a primit premiul „Vladimir Colin” pentru cel mai bun volum de proză scurtă SF în anul 2021, „Cărări pe gheață” și „Focurile lumii noi” fiind și ele nominalizate pentru premiul Colin, la categoriile „Cel mai bun roman Fantasy”, respectiv „Cel mai bun album de bandă desenată”.
În 2016, Alexandru Lamba a primit premiul de încurajare „Chrysalis”, al European Science Fiction Society, ESFS.
În prezent colaborează cu publicațiile „Ficțiunea OPT Motive” și „Revista Familia” pentru care scrie în mod regulat cronici de carte românească.
