I grew up in the Home Counties of Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. I always felt I wanted to be somewhere else and dreamed of sunny beaches and shady woods. I have always wanted to be a writer and flirted with the idea, buying a word processor and beginning a number of manuscripts, with very little idea how to actually write a book. When I turned forty something polarised within me, or I just stumbled upon the right advice, and I found the whole thing immensely enjoyable. In fact, I would say I'm only truly happy when I'm writing (I have just c

I always find that everything flows very naturally when writing, probably due to my practice of thoroughly mapping out the book beforehand. I begin with writing rough notes and then develop the story completely in note form. I then map out approximate chapters, although this has to be flexible as ideas do come to me whilst writing. It feels like the story is finished before I begin and just needs me to colour it in.
When finished and edited I eagerly begin the next story, and I have many more book ideas than I possibly have time to write them all! (less)

Fabulous twists to the very end!

I got straight into this book and it kept me hooked all the way.
Well written, with believable characters. No unnecessary fluff: all story.
Put me in mind of Minka Kent, which is a huge compliment.

Michael Christopher Carter, Destructive Interference

“Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.”
Michael Christopher Carter, Blood is Thicker Than Water: Strange Tales from Wales

“If you have ever been so upset by something that you drank yourself unconscious only to wake up some time later in an unfamiliar place with only a bad headache and a case of the spins to keep you company, then you have a small idea of the kind of trauma that Bianca experienced when she awoke in Bobcorp3. You also may have a drinking problem.”
Brian Cramer, One Calvin: A Zero Calvin Novel

“Much to their annoyance, Calvin refused to answer any of their questions. He remained on the ground, silently bleeding at them.”
Brian Cramer, Zero Calvin

“The small ember of warmth in Tarpa’s soul that was struggling to become a fire was suddenly and painfully dashed out of existence by the joyful tears of the reunited couple, leaving only a tiny pile of soggy ash behind.”
Brian Cramer, One Calvin: A Zero Calvin Novel
