Lynn-Steven Johanson is an award-winning playwright whose plays have been produced on four continents. He began writing novels when his wife suggested adapting one of his screenplays into a novel. The result was Rose's Thorn, which became the first in his Joe Erickson Mystery series. It was published in 2020 by Level Best Books. Additional books in the series include Havana Brown (2021), Corrupted Souls (2022), One of Ours (2023), Sins Revealed (2024), Reprisal Road (2025), and Wreaking Vengeance (2026).
Lynn holds an MFA degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and is retired from Western Illinois University. He lives in Illinois with his wife, and they have three adult children.
