Florin Spătaru e prozator, poet și traducător din limbile romanice. A câștigat concursuri literare în Franța și a fost publicat în Nouvelle Quinzaine littéraire din Paris. Romanul Greier de topaz s-a aflat printre finalistele la concursul de debut al Editurii Litera – „Primul roman“.
