ליאת רוטנר, סופרת לנוער ומבוגרים, עורכת עיתון ומנחת סדנאות כתיבה לילדים. פרסמה עד כה 18 ספרים, מתוכם ארבעה ספרי זהב ושני ספרי פלטינה.

החלה לכתוב ספרים בגיל 8. בגיל 10 זכתה בתחרות הכתיבה הארצית בגיל 10 ובגיל 12 בתחרות הסיפורים "ישראל 2000". בגיל 15 פנתה להוצאת 'ידיעות ספרים' וחתמה חוזה עבור הוצאה והפצת ספריה.
ספרה הראשון שהתפרסם, "קיץ אחד ביחד", בגיל 16 – נכנס לחמשת הספרים של פרויקט "תקרא תצליח" והגיע למעמד ספר פלטינה וספר זהב כמו גם ההמשכים שבאו בעקבותיו, "תנו לגדול בשקט", "לנצח בגדול" ו"מעורב ירושלמי". חיברה בין היתר את סדרת "מאלאדר", פנטזיה ישראלית על רקע מלחמת לבנון השניה, עם אלמנטים מהפנטזיה הקלאסית ומהקבלה היהודית.

בעלת תואר ראשון כמצטיינת רקטור באוניברסיטת בר אילן במדעי הרוח הרב תחומי, בהתמקדות על ספרות ביקורתית וספרות פנטזיה.
