Each of the book’s fourteen substantive chapters begins with an interlude that discusses an important life lesson such as, “If you don’t see a path, blaze a trail,” or “Don’t accept adversity, challenge it.” The chapter then includes one or more veterans’ life stories to illustrate the lesson. These captivating stories about everyday American military heroes and the lessons we can learn from their lives provide the inspiration we need to make us, our relationships, and our communities stronger.(less)
