The Paradoxical Commandments

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.

People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.”

Christine Hatfield Thanks for being my friend

Nathan Grant I just released While Ruby Was Gone, available at Amazon, Smashwords outlets, and All Romance.

Brett Ransom was back at home from his recent trip, and wanted to catch up on all the new neighborhood dirt with his elderly eccentric friend and drinking buddy, Ruby Benson. He soon finds that not only is Ruby missing but also she may be in mortal danger.

Several times during their conversations, Ruby mentioned her great-nephew Zane in passing, but now meeting the hunky auburn haired man for the first time, the irresistible sexual sparks begin to fly.

Ruby's mother was a bit player in an epic film about Ancient Egypt in the 1920s when scandal arose as a beautiful gold and ruby necklace suddenly went missing from the set; the same necklace now in Ruby's possession. During those early years, a shady producer befriended the young single starlet with a small child, and gave the necklace to her as an engagement gift, claiming it was his property.

Ruby's mother's new flame didn't last long when her boyfriend the producer met with death during a business trip to New York. The theft was uncovered and made public back in Los Angeles, but Ruby's young mother was too terrified to speak the truth for fear she'd lose her job or worse. Unfortunate others took the blame and her mother remained silent about it, taking her secret to her grave.

Working together Brett and Zane try to unravel the mystery and discover who kidnapped Ruby and search frantically to get her back. Relying on each other for strength and support as their sexual attraction builds; they find unstoppable hot sex as a supporting cast. Soon they too face mortal danger as they frantically try to finish the puzzle before Ruby's time runs out.

Thanks for reading,

Nathan Grant
