Tell us about your story in Claiming My ValentineWhat is the title of your story?The title of my story is Searching for His Mate.
What is your story about?For Stacia Sagona, it wasn’t easy being the personal assistant to the local bear clan alpha. He was grumpy, hard to work with and he just happened to be her older brother. Tardiness was a pet peeve of his but it was her specialty. What was meant to be a quick run to the bank before going into the office was anything but, thanks to the armed men who stormed into the bank with guns blazing.A hostage situation at the local bank was just what SWAT Officer Izek Compano needed to keep his mind focused. Lately, he has felt such a disconnect from his bear that it has left him puzzled. A man should always be in sync with his bear. Each night his bear would demand to be let out so it could roam for hours in search of something. For what? Izek didn’t have a clue. The bank job revealed the culmination of his search, only to have her snatched from his grasp.It’s a race against time to save the mate who his bear had apparently been searching for…
Who is/are the main characters?Stacia Sagona, the sister to the local bear alpha, and Izek Compano, Captain of the local police department’s SWAT Team. How did the story come to you?This story came to me one day while I was in line at the bank. I have a phobia about going inside of banks and my husband always laughs at me about it. One day, I was in the bank and there was a little old lady taking her sweet time at the counter and while standing in line waiting for my turn, I began to daydream. I thought of writing of a hostage situation and being a paranormal romance author, I just had to throw a little shifter action in it!Did you have to research for this novel. If so, why and what did you learn?I did have to do research for it. I’m sure people would assume that romance authors don’t need to do real research. But let me be the first to tell you that I did have to do research. I know nothing of SWAT teams and wanted to learn a little more about them as I wrote the story. I always want my stories to sound authentic and believable as people read them so Google proves to be real useful. Do you relate to your character? Is your protagonist anything like you personally?Stacia and I are similar. We both have large hearts and believe in true love. What made you write this character; what made them important to you or made you want to tell their story? I’ve wanted to do a bear shifter story for a while and Stacia and Izek’s story have been burning in the back of my mind. I just needed to introduce the world to Great Falls, Montana where the bear shifters are hot, sexy and alpha.  Is there anything specific you want readers to know about this piece of work?I had so much fun writing this story, that I will visit the town of Great Falls again soon!

My name is Izek Compano. What are you? (Fae, shifter (kind), vampire, etc…)I’m a bear shifter. Can’t you tell by looking at me?!What should we know about you?
I’m the Captain of one of the best SWAT teams in the great state of Montana. We don’t take any shit from bad guys. We good guys always come out on top.  For a while, my bear and I have been disconnected. I guy you’ll have to read my story to find out why and if we are able to get back on the same page again. When and where is your story set?I live in Great Falls, Montana and that is where you’ll find me. 
What is your personal goal?  I mean, what do you ultimately want?My ultimate goal is for my team to be the best in the country. Love? Maybe that will happen. Some day in the future. But you’ll have to read the story that Ariel Marie has written so that you can find out what goes on. What conflict(s) do you face?I’m a cop. There are plenty of conflicts in my day to day. Pull one from the air and I’ll bet it’s something I’ve dealt with. Not many people will mess with a bear shifter. Even humans keep their distance and try not to get on my bad side. Are there any secondary characters we should keep our eyes on? Who are they? How are they connected with you?Well, now, there are plenty of people to choose from that resides in Great Falls, Montana. Any of my fellow officers or anyone from my clan could be of interest to youWill we see you in upcoming stories? If so, what is the title/series and when?If Ariel Marie comes back to Great Falls, I’m sure she’ll stop and visit me again! You’ll just have to wait and see!
