This weekend I am representing the First Hunt Foundation at the Lewis Clark Traders gun show in Lewiston. The people are very generous and either buying a book, a raffle ticket or making a donation to help US in our efforts to teach young people in learning the proper way to hunt. FHF volunteers take young hunters on their first hunt at no cost and give them a chance to smell the country air and see the scenery and wildlife and learn about our natural resources upfront and personal.
When the young shooter is able to harvest their game we send them a certificate (suitable for framing).
So, I am here to get tell the public about our cadrie of volunteers and the good work we do to help a landowner who is having a wildlife damage problem on their property. Our young hunters can find one of us volunteers to help them hunt for deer, turkey, elk, upland birds or waterfowl. We take the young shooters out to the rifle or shotgun range and provide all the ammunition for free. They especially enjoy our efforts FHF provides a free lunch and snacks.
