He worked as a Park Ranger for the National Park Service at Little Bighorn and studied the battle grounds in person, later his research on the topic encouraged him to share his findings with the public. His research has uncovered and coordinated findings that shed more light on the battle participants and the battle's place in the History of the Western Frontier and the Sioux War of 1876.
He graduated with Bachelor and Masters Degrees in Science and worked as a Wildlife Biologist for

Great to hear from you! There are actually two books in the mill at present.
One is the history of Indian tribes mostly from the Pacific Northwest from about 1847 to 1862. The second book (which may come out soonest) is the career of a wildlife biologist, the field work, the politics, but mostly about the majestic wildlife species we enjoy watching in the USA. Realistically, the next publication date will probably be July, 2016.
There is another Giveaway on Goodreads for my earlier book: Medal of Honor, the Courage of the Troopers and Warriors at the Little Bighorn.
Thanks again for you kind words. Gerald Hickman(less)

I try to offer the same help to them in return. The interesting thing is that my wife will not help edit or proof my books.
Time management is mostly attempting to write and edit early on in the process and not too wait too close to the publication date so my helpers have a chance to reply with any edits and comments.(less)

Not what I expected

Eager is a disappointment to this reader. The writing was troubling and it was neither a scientific review or a journalist's coverage of a very large topic about the largest rodent in North America. In several areas of the book the writing seemed to be more interested in writing witty journalism rather than dealing with the facts of wildlife management.

Eager was a very poor choice for a title of t Read more of this blog post »

Gerald Hickman- in Medal of Honor, the Courage of the soldiers and warriors at the Battle of the Little Big Horn.

Gerald Hickman I just read: Hillerman, Anne Spyder Woman' Daughter
It is a very fine well written fictional account of the Navajo Tribal Police. Written in the same style and enjoyable format as the long list of such written by her father, Tony Hillerman. I recommend this read to all of you. Gerald Hickman
