Night Owl

Hello! And welcome to the night shift. . . so to speak. I am either a night owl by nature or in the wrong time zone. Either way, I do tend to come alive as the sun goes down. As long as my schedule allows for that sort of thing. And therein lies the problem. Day job is on the east coast schedule. Which works great for after work activities like dinner with friends and classes at the gym. Even when i string together PTO I end up scheduling morning things because I know I won't want to do them later in the day. And since a chunk of the team would be off for spring break, I scheduled a long weekend post spring break.
And then the world came to a halt.
Had everything gone according to plan, I would have met a friend for breakfast, maybe another for lunch or dinner, I would have had an oil change and a reflexology appointment in the mix as well. I wouldn't stay up late because I'd have to be at the gym for a double in the morning. I wouldn't be able to stay up late Saturday night because of breakfast and running errands on Sunday. You see the pattern?
Welps, since I can't do 90% of what I'd planned, my body cackled manically as I passed out for a 4 hour nap in the middle of the day. I'd gotten some key adulting out of the way and had a load of laundry in the wash so why not take a nap? Welps, that dropped me into my night owl routine. Which is pretty nice because I got some video game time in, made amazing pork chops for dinner, then at about 8 I started a Combat workout.
Unfortunately, 20 minutes in is when Cinders started pestering me, because in her world, it was bed time. I missed an entire track because I sat on the floor playing with her and giving her the cuddles she demanded. I only finished one more track after she wandered off, because I'd run out of water.
Now that I'm all fresh from the shower I am ready to sit in my corner and get some quality editing done. :D
