What an amazing mix of emotions I'm having now I've got my first novel 'Ribbons' published.
There's lots of excitement of course at seeing my work out there.
And there's relief at getting through the whole process for the first time.
Add to that the joy of making new friends along the way.
Then there's bereavement - I won't be meeting my characters again, and I actually miss them.
And the challenges of publicising 'Ribbons' and at the same time looking forward to forming ideas for my next novel.
I'd love to know how other authors felt the first time around.
