2020 - ???
An interesting year 2020 was. I did not read quite as many books as I have in the recent years.
I think this is due to the fact that we did not travel (at all) so I did not have as much downtime (airports, planes, car, train, etc.) to read in.
You might think being at home I'd have more time to read, but I found that I would be working on several "projects" around the house. These kept me very busy through out the year.
I read several books at a time. This is because I have books for specific locations, Car, Bathroom, Nightstand, and of course my primary book (or two). So I'm regularly reading 4-5 books at a time. This year I did add a new location, outside.
The book in the car is an audio book these days that I listen to on my commute. It used to be a physical book I would read at read lights, but that became to difficult. This was severely curtailed since we shifted to working from home. So a loss of 60-90 minutes of reading a day.
Bathroom, and outside are both physical books. I primarily read on my tablet (Hoopla, Kindle, Kobo, Libby, Nook, PocketReader) and Nightstand could be physical or tablet.
This would be a book I would take to read while I am outside. I would work outside in the early morning, before it got too hot. I'd take the dogs with me and they would run around and play. I would read whenever I took a break. Then in the afternoon I would go outside again and do some more work. Then sit and relax (playing with the dogs) and have a beer (and read).
These are the books that I found particularly enjoyable this year.
