Reading and Review of Undercity

Great reading + review of Undercity over at the Bored Goddess reviews. The first half is her excellent reading, followed by her review of the book. She really gets the book. It got five ducks as a rating. 🙂

Hi, Diane. Thanks! Earthborn and Starborn are are actually Lightning Strike Books I and II. The publisher who bought up my backlist thought Books I and II sounded a bit prosaic, so they rebranded them as Lightning Strike: Earthborn and Lightning Strike: Starborn.

It's the re-release of Catch the Lightning, expanded and rewritten as I originally had wanted to do it. I was limited at the time when CTL first came out in both length and style because I was such a new author and also, well, the world was a different place, then. The books were a bit ahead of their time as a first person narrative by a young adult Latina. Nowadays no one would blink twice at such a protagonist. When I had the chance for a new edition, I rewrote and expanded the story as I'd originally wanted to do it.
