In my research and efforts to stay current with scientific events, I often encounter fascinating articles worth discussing. In my Wednesday science fiction blogging, I purposefully select topics that will generate debate.
This week, I thought of discussing the ways we observe physical processes and experiments in science, focusing on direct and indirect observation.
The best way to describe direct observation is when the researcher acts as the observer and records what they are sensing. In indirect observation, researchers depend on observations reported by others, and other angles.
Are we currently in an era where indirect observation is the only way to expand our knowledge due to the rise of quantum physics and advanced data analysis capabilities?
