Friday Five
TGIF! Let’s get right to sharing five random things about our week. Here’s mine:
It poured rain and had high winds this week. Our area got 2 inches, and other areas got a lot more. We’re fine, but I saw some downed fences in other tracks. The upside is we are not in a drought this year!Wednesday was between rainstorms and I went to see Cigi. With such a bad storm the night before, I wasn’t sure what to expect as I traveled 60 miles one way over four different freeways. Boy was I pleasantly surprised, it was a gorgeous drive! Stunning blue skies with clouds, the hills are green and fresh snow on the mountains. Minimal traffic rounded it out to a very easy drive. Cigi is now in full toddler mode! She climbs anything she can (so like her dad!), plays with everything she can get her hands on and is a very busy little girl. I had a great time with her and her mom! Wizard had an appointment so he couldn’t go. One of the things I love about Wizard is that while he’s sad to miss out, he still wants me to go and enjoy. I do the same for him when I can’t go places. We had a smaller rain for a few hours yesterday. I decided to make sourdough and both my starter and my bread loved that weather getting a great rise. I’ll bake it today.I did my little acrylic painting set yesterday. It’s a little butterfly and flower scene on a piece of acrylic. It came out…like a first attempt, LOL. I will say it came out better than I hoped when I started. It’s one of those “Trust the process” type projects that looked like an absolute disaster when I started.Wizard made reservations for dinner Saturday night for us. He just decided we should do it and who am I to argue??? We are both looking forward to that. That’s my five, now I’d love to hear yours! I hope everyone has a great weekend!
