A super special little bundle arrived just before my birthday this year, and he is the sweetest, most gorgeous baby ever, except maybe for my own. Not exactly a present, but I’m claiming him as one anyway!

In terms of literary gifts, my birthday present to me, is Euan, the hero of Milby Plains Mischief. He’s scorchingly hot, and the waters run super deep there. Don’t get me wrong, I love Tyler and Finn from the other two Milby Plains books, but there is something extremely appealing in a hero who has no intention of falling in love again, yet despite his best efforts to fight it, still falls head over heels.

The theme of Milby Plains Mischief is to do what is right, not what is easy, nor what is popular. And Euan tries to do what he believes to be the right thing, he really does. There’s an age gap, he’s one of her brother’s best friends, and the family are doing him a favour so he doesn’t want to be seen as taking advantage of their generosity.

Savannah sees things differently, and we’ll get to her next month.

But this month is all about Euan, tattooed and pierced, with hypnotic, golden-brown eyes. Here’s Savannah’s first glimpse of him:

Savannah had to admit, objectively speaking, he was attractive, if bad-boy vibes were your thing. The closely cropped back and sides of his chocolate-brown hair with some length and wave on top led down to golden-brown eyes, a strong blade of a nose, lips that screamed kiss me complete with a ring piercing through through the bottom lip on the right hand side.

His tats started on his neck and then disappeared inside his shirt, to reappear all the way down his right arm, stopping at his wrist. They also went down his right leg, stopping at his ankle. The right half of his body appeared to be covered, whereas the left was completely clear. She hoped he didn’t speak to Hannah and Riley, because the deep, velvety tone of his voice would have the pair of them chattering about him for hours.

This one is also quite spicy, and Euan’s lip piercing isn’t his only piercing. For those of you who enjoy a pierced hero, Euan’s your guy!

Euan Cameron has sworn off love. His ex-fiancée has left him with nothing but a bruised heart and trust issues. He’s moved back home and bought a landscaping business, looking forward to reconnecting with his best friend, and keeping his heart firmly locked away.

Savannah Blake knows exactly who she is and what she wants, and that includes the brooding, infuriating man who’s been her brother’s best friend since she was in pig tails. Euan is doing his best to keep Savannah at arm’s length and avoid the smoldering attraction between them. But Savannah has never been one to back down from a challenge, and she’s not about to start now.

Euan is adamant Savannah is off-limits. Too young. Too honest. Too much his best friend’s little sister. But Savannah isn’t a little girl anymore, and her blunt observations have a way of slicing through his reasoning and knocking down his defences.

But falling for your best mate’s sister is risky business, and Euan’s not sure he can survive being burned twice.
