As a brand spanking new novelist, everything that happens is a new experience. Hopefully one day, all the stuff I get excited about today will be old hat, but while it's new for me, I intend to relish the moment.

Yesterday, I had a couple more firsts happen. The first first...I received my first report of sales through Apple ibooks. It was cool to see a real number replace that 0 that had lingered there since I relased the book. If you purchased your copy of Barely Retired from Apple ibooks, thank you.

The second first...I had my first book sold in New Zealand. It's hard to believe someone on the other side of the world is reading the novel I wrote here in the mountains of Appalachia andd the Upstate of South Carolina. Living in the 21st century is definately good.

I look forward to many more firsts as word gets out about Barely Retired and its sales pick up steam. Writing a novel is a journey; it's a journey I intend to enjoy.
