Going Indie

I started writing in 2009 just when indie publishing became a popular, and legitimate, publishing alternative.I decided, given I was a newbie who had extensive work and family obligations, that working with a publisher was the right option for me. And at the time, it was. I learned an enormous amount from the team at Lyrical Press, including my fab editor, Mary Murray.
Five year into my writing career I’ve decided to self publish both an older title I got the rights back to, THE GIRLS ON ROSE HILL, and a new title, COLD SPRING. Both books are deeply emotional women’s fiction titles with strong elements of romance that deal with some rather dark themes: end of life issues, sexual abuse and the close but complicated relationships between mothers and daughters. I’m excited about this newest chapter in my writing journey! Both of these titles will be available exclusively on Amazon Kindle early Fall 2014.
