Off-The-Cuff

There will soon come a time when I will simply cease to exist. The hands of the clock tick by so quickly now and day soon turns to night.

When I am gone, the world may seem dark - look for the sunshine trying to break through the clouds. You might sometimes forget to breathe - inhale, breathe in the wonderful aroma of life.

At night, when the world is black, I will be in the moonlight shining through your window. I will be in those sleepy few moments of peace when you wake. The memory of my voice, my laughter, my face - they will fade, but the imprint I left behind will be there, always.

Love deeply, for I loved you madly. Laugh loud, because you made me smile. Take risks, because that clock ticks loudly for us all one day. Take a moment to breathe; stop and look at the world, because it is wonderous. Don't be pulled along in the rush of the tide; stand your ground and let it flow around you.

There will soon come a time when I simply cease to exist. But you, you will go on. You will find a way to put one foot in front of the other without me by your side.
