A lot of my book "Emotional Health for Emotional Wealth" is about overcoming childhood pain from physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Frequently this abuse leads later to rape, domestic violence, alcoholism and other addictive behaviours. My paperback is now an e-book because I want to reach as many people as possible to say that you CAN change your life (see the chapters relevant to you). I believe it is how you work with your thoughts that makes all the difference.

Many years ago now I became too ill to work and this carried on for months. It was a struggle to walk from one room to another and thus I spent hours lying around reading. The most life-changing book I read was "You Can Heal Your Life" by Louise Hay and it helped me to change my thinking and thus my life. In a positive way of course! I still believe Hay's work it transformational for most people. I particularly like her chart at the back which links physical symptoms to emotional issues and gives affirmations that are constructive.

I have also personally had very positive experiences by using Paul McKenna's works and especially "Change Your Life in Seven Days" - do try it for yourself.

Take a look at the work of Susan Jeffers, especially "Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway". Change can be scary. Staying stuck living in a way that you are not enjoying is not much of a life - especially as we may only have one life to live - as they say "it's not a rehersal".

A friend of mine who is an educated, intelligent person admitted to never having read a self-help book. I was shocked! Why not? They can help you create the life YOU want.

I give you suggested reading that can help you create a different FUTURE. It is not magic - when you change your thoughts you are creating your future. Reading self-help books can help to change your thinking.
