okay. so I was house hunting and literally visited all display houses in Melbourne and went to all Builders in Melbourne (Henley, Metricon, Dennis Family, Potter Davis, Burbank, Carlisle, Eight Homes, Mainvue, Boutique) to find a floor plan which would suit me. I refrained from local builders as I just wanted quality and did not want to take any risk what so ever.

So finally the winner was Carlisle! the reasons:

The consultants were transparent (believe me its important I liked Charton(very pretty home) from Potter Davis but the consultant seemed to be hiding a lot of stuff. we had 2 meetings with him and he was just talking to my hubby :/ .now that’s a negative thing and since I am the one who wears pants in the family(I think so), Potter Davis was rejected. Grrrrrrr…….
A very nice promotion being run by Carlisle (the great summer sale)
The reviews. one of our friends built by Carlisle and they talk highly of them. I also checked for reviews on internet and 90% have given Carlisle thumbs up. while I saw extremely negative reviews for Metricon and Potter Davis, but nothing was there for Carlisle

In a gist, I just choose Carlisle because of the good reviews. Even though they are very costly but its my dream home after all and no compromises there :)
