[close] A place to recommend books and manga for learning Japanese. Mostly shoujo romance/slice of life manga series. Most of the shounen series I add have a lot of romance in them. I add some seinen and josei series that sound interesting, but they may contain mature content. They'll most likely be listed as seinen/josei. They normally don't have furigana. To keep everything neat and in order I only list the first volume of a manga series. Children's books have all the volumes of a series listed and are sorted by age group. 幼稚 (Kindergarten) 3-6 years old 小学1-2年生 (elementary school 1-2 year) 6-8 years old 小学3-4年生 (elementary school 3-4 year) 8-10 years old 小学5-6年生 (elementary school 5-6 year) 10-12 years old 中学 (junior high school) 12-15 years old light novels are high school and above. They may contain mature content.
