This list is for fluffy easy Ya summer reading. Mostly that will be contemporaries, but anything easy and fluffy. No hardcore dystopias or fantasy or anything intense. (Both are ok, so long as the focus of the book is something light like a romance, and the fantasy (or otherwise) aspect takes a backseat and doesn't show up much. Just light easy cotton candy books, which means sweet romance and not a whole lot of intensity.
PLEASE think about the type of book that belongs on this list before you add anything. This list is ONLY for FLUFFY/LIGHT books. If there are heavy or intense themes that are more than discussed, they are NOT APPROPRIATE for this list (I.e. We Were Liars, or The Fault in Our Stars. Those books are far too heavy.)
I really want this list to be basically a collection of books that are purely fun, and don't deal with anything too emotional, or too deep or too real. This list is for books that are SUPERFICIAL, because sometimes we all need a good, sweet, easy story to help us escape from the difficulties of the real world.
(This list is for YOUNG ADULT books ONLY. Also, for series, please only add the FIRST book in a series. Thanks)

In my opinion, a lot of these are not fluffy or light at all. Just, if you're looking for rec's from here, read reviews and blurbs carefully so you know what you're getting into.

Because I can't speak about anything I haven't read, but if there are books you KNOW don't fit the criteria, I"d love to remove them and clean this list up. I really would like to keep it light and fun
We Were Liars for sure.I've not read a whole lot of them to be sure, and different ppl think different things are 'light' or 'fun'... but certainly a lot of them have complexity and intensity and issues mixed into the fluffiness.
Hmm.... I'll think on how to help you clean up the list, because I really want it to succeed, too.
yeah. it's ok if there are some heavier issues mentioned or talked about, but this list is SUPPOSED to be for light and fluffy books, so things like the Fault in Our Stars, definitely do not apply. The first couple books I put on this list though, I think those are pretty much what I'm looking for:
The whole Selection series (sure t says it's dystopia, but come on, it's a romance and not much else and we all know it.)
The whole Anna and the French Kiss series.
I feel like Fangirl and the Jenny Han books fit as well.
That's what I'm looking for. Things that are light so that you can escape from the world. Which right now, especially, people need.
So in light of that, I have deleted We Are Liars, because you're very right. That book is not light in any fashion

Also, this list is not for involved fantasy or anything else (the only reason a book like The Selection is on this list is because it is predominantly romance, and the "dystopian" part if laughable at best. Same thing with The Siren, there's a fantasy element, but the whole book revolves around the romance rather than the fantasy aspect. Thank you.
