The best fiction and non-fiction books about the culture of Christianity throughout the world. Not books concerning how to be a good Christian, but rather books that demonstrate the culture of a Christian, what it's like on a daily basis to be a Christian of some stripe or another.

Well, I removed a book because it didn't fit the list description, and it's already reappeared. Since list creators/editors receive dire warnings when we remove books that are not list-appropriate, I'm not going to remove it again. I'm not about to risk my Goodreads account, so...do what you will.
Just for edification, the book is "How to Live in God's Plan", by Maria Loman, and was added by Tony Angelo and also voted on by Maria (no last name). The book was readded by Tony Angelo, and voted on a second time by "Angelo", a new account whose favorite books are all written by Tony Angelo. To show why this book is inappropriate for this list:
The book's description:
"You can have the life that God wants you to have. This book contains scriptures and action plans to bring you into God's perfect will for your life. You can be happy and fulfilled, having wonderful relationships with family and friends. This little book is easy to read, and can be read one day at a time. Every day you can change your life, and walk closer with God."
It's a prayer and devotional guide, for personal use.
The list's purpose:
"Christian Culture
The best fiction and non-fiction books about the culture of Christianity throughout the world. Not books concerning how to be a good Christian, but rather books that demonstrate the culture of a Christian, what it's like on a daily basis to be a Christian of some stripe or another."
But, if I remove the book, Tony Angelo, or Angelo, or Maria, or another sock-puppet account will just re-add it. So I'm going to let it be.
Forgive my disgust, but this is my second encounter this week in listopia with a aggressively self-promoting author, who uses lists not to share opinions and loved books with others, but to only increase their own sales. Such behavior only makes me want to not read their books.
Found the connection between Maria Loman and Tony Angelo, and why Tony is so eager to keep Maria's book on this (and other) lists:From Amazon:
...Maria is currently a partner in the publishing company MLR Publishers, a division of MLR Enterprises...Recently, MLR Publishers in association with Tony Angelo has formed The Dreams of our children eBooks, a publishing division featuring works for adults and children.
Tony and Maria, I wish you well. I hope your books, and your publishing company are successful. But this is not the way to ensure your success. Please be respectful of and honest with your potential audience.
