So it is interesting to me how a book gets on the first 5 pages of the most popular lists on goodreads without a very large number of ratings. Clearly there are some patterns that explain some of these books - collections of well known works that are highly thought of like Shakespeare, major religious books that people don't necessarily think to rank, major philosophy books for the same reason. Even slightly less popular very popular books like Sophie's Choice.

I'm more interested in hearing about those others books. So if you know the story behind say the books of Ki Longfellow or Tim Butcher, let me know what it is in this comment stream.

There has been some recent odd voting on this and other lists that I watch. I'm fairly certain that the first 17 books on this list have been voted in a block and are probably all here in error as they were in the first list I cleaned up.
