Hey #258 is Fence Vol. 2 and it has a 2018 publication date. I added Fence Vol. 3, which does have a 2019 publication date.
Why when I try to add books that have been published in 2019 am I getting a message saying they weren't published this year?
Zaeris wrote: "Strange, I can't add some books that were published last month? Any idea why?"I'm having the same issue.
@Zaeris and JohnGive me the title of just one novel and I'll try, see if that works 🙂
@John
The message you're getting sounds as if GR (or one of the superlibrarians?) messed up. Unless you're trying to add one of your own books? Because as I understand it, that no longer works (and righfully so).
@JohnI can't add it either as I'm getting the same 'not published during this year' notice. I've sent GR a message asking them to fix this for this book, as well as other books published during this year.
PROUD to note I read not a single goodreads nominee for Best (of anything) nor a single book above. I just get burned by goodreads 'best' lists: they are an international joke, in general.
I’m not exactly sure what qualifies as spam, but the book the currently at the top, Blossom in Winter, has randomly appeared in a few of these rankings seemingly out of nowhere. Everyone who’s voted for it has only voted for that one book and has very few friends & books shelved. Plus after the first couple of pages of 190+ ‘voters’, they stop having profile pictures or any friends at all. It looks like a sea of random girl names pulled from a baby book. Like I said, I don’t know if this is considered spam, but if it’s not could a GR Librarian explain what is? Thanks!

Elle wrote: "Good to know, thanks! Does the creator of the list have to be the one to remove it?"The answer to your question is 'no'. And the creator of this list is, in any case, a deleted user. Any librarian can remove books (but I'm a bit loathe to, as this isn't my list...)
Totally understand, maybe if someone else weighed in they’d be more comfortable doing so. The creator of the list is ‘deleted user’, so probably not going to be much pushback from them. In a few weeks it’s not going to matter much more anyways. I just feel bad for poor Daisy, she was robbed!! Haha
There's also spam at #85, Never Go with Your Gut.Multiple blank sock puppets have been very busy spamming this book everywhere.
I see Blossom in Winter is at #2. Normally I would ask the list creator if they want the books removed if there is no clear directive on what to do with spam, but in this case the creator is a "deleted user."
Is there any kind of consensus on what to do in this situation?

Whoops, and 2 more.
