I have removed books with covers from this list today.

Removed book marked Not a Book.

Removed book with cover added. (I was happy to add some page counts for books that I didn't find a cover for.)

Please do not add books that do not exist yet. Obviously there is no way to add a cover to these!

Many of these books are old/OOP titles whose covers may be nigh impossible to find on the usual sources - unless users provide photos or scans of their copies (which can be uploaded to the "more photos..." section of their profiles (https://www.goodreads.com/photo/new) if needed, then shared here or in the Book Cover help folder in a new thread).

Please do. That way you'll be able to add more books to the list later, if needed.

I keep adding covers & removing titles, but the list never gets shorter! :-)

Please do NOT add Amazon placeholders or other images that are not the actual cover of a book, that is against policy. You can see some of those have a "Note: This is not the actual book cover" bottom text.

I would advise against using Google books at all (it's mentioned in the list of sites we cannot use in https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/...). While the copyright for the text of the book may have expired, we are not sure about individual images/photos/scans from them (unless they are explicitely marked as public domain).
Also, I understand we can only use images of the actual cover, not title pages.

Most if not all of those placeholder covers are being added by the bots, so even if we removed them, they may be added again in the future. Of course, that won't happen if we replace them with the proper cover. Feel free to provide links or your own scan/photos so we can update the entries accordingly.

Yes, I know there are at least a couple of librarians working on those, myself included. Sometimes there is no cover to be found, but when we do find them, they are being replaced with the appropriate cover image whenever possible.

I have added some covers and deleted several books from the list that have covers now.

For many older books there is no cover to be found on the internet. The only chance these books have to receive a cover image is if a person who owns that book scans it.
