I notice a bunch of books are beginning to show up that don't seem consistent with the IMDB list, though. What's to be done about those?

I started to add a book/movie combo and then realized that it wasn't on the imdb list. It should be, because some of the films on the list could go in my humble opinion! Glad I double-checked to avoid the axe!

Some of the above have made a mysterious reappearance. They've swiftly been repurged. I think this is another list we'll occasionally have to keep an eye on to keep it within the stated parameters ...

ETA: What about Heart of Darkness and Persuasion -- to what movies on the IMDB 250 list do those correspond?

Oh, but the connection is so much less obvious in Ran ... HoD really was a major senior moment! ;)

I've added the titles of the corresponding movies in the comments section of my votes where the connection is not well-known or obvious from the respective works' titles.

Sad that the list doesnt include classic books .... Wuthering heights, The rose's name, Sense & sensibility etc
