When Rain Turns to Snow is a 2020 release. Salaam, with Love is a February 2022 release. Medusa is an October 2021 release originally. Jamila at the End of the World does not have a release month. Anything but Fine is an August 2021 release originally.

All of these books need to be removed from the list.

Also, the Goodreads Librarian guide page here prescribes usage of publisher information or World Cat first. This list is for books published for the first time in 2022.

Jamilah at the End of the World is a 2021 release, per the publisher site, lorimer.ca. I've probably been flagged or something because GR won't let me link the publisher site. Go figure.

per that link, "If you know the book is a reprinting/reissue published later than the copyright date, but no other dates are given you can .... research the publication date for the edition you have using Worldcat, Library of Congress, the author's website or NUMEROUS OTHER RESOURCES..." Plus, that is for actually editing the book's information page, which I am not doing.

Numerous other resources can also include Goodreads, which has it as first published in 2021. Since it was already published in 2021 (and not just pushed back from an earlier pub date), it doesn't qualify for this list, as this list is only for books that are first published in 2022.

I think these two books should be removed:
Winterhorn (2020) and Roxy (11/2021)

The Vermilion Emporium (46) has January 11th, 2022 as its apparent date, but the blurb says it's set for fall 2022

I can’t find another date for it anywhere; Amazon and WorldCat have nothing. The imprint is new for 2022.

Removed: The Helheim Princess and added to May 2022.

Removed: The Vermilion Emporium as the Goodreads description and the Author's website says Nov 2022 and added it to that list.

Is this only going off US release dates? In Australia at least, 'Waking Romeo' was published in March last year, which you can see if you look on the editions page on goodreads. It was certainly a while ago that I read it!

I’ve tried to go by global release dates, as Jamila at the End of the World released last year in Canada, but I’m being overridden. Sorry, I know I made the list, but I’m not a Librarian (though I passed the test). Nothing I can do, really.

That's a good question! This list goes by first release dates, so I will remove it.

I also removed Jamilah since I found the source that showed the original publication date. (I didn't see this before but they may have changed it or I could have missed it.)

Per the author, it's a crossover, so it's both YA and adult. She mentions this in her comment on the book's GR page.

I've added book calendars to my blog (see link in my profile). I won't be doing 2023 release calendars on Goodreads because too many books keep getting added to the list that don't belong there, and I don't have the autonomy over my lists to restrict additions or remove books.
