Works of fiction set in or centred on cathedrals. Any genre, any audience, any country, any era. For those in doubt: 'fiction' means novels, plays, poetry, short stories, novellas, fictional graphic novels.

"Minsters" alright? :) Or limited to the strictly official 'Cathedral' designation?

(Pippo the Fool is based on a real story - same story as Filippo's Dome, Filippo Brunelleschi's dome on the cathedral in Firenze/Florence.. how strict are you wanting the 'fiction' designation to be? :) I'm sure there's artistic license in the retellings, there)

Filippo's Dome is non-fiction. I looked at it yesterday because I wasn't certain although the LC classification indicated non-fiction. Artistic license is inevitable in narrative history and juvenile history. How strict do I plan to be? Strict enough to remove a few books that were added since I went to bed. I'm going to clarify the list description. Just. To. Be. Sure.
Capn wrote: ""Minsters" alright? :) Or limited to the strictly official 'Cathedral' designation?"Tricky. Some minsters are cathedrals but many aren't. I don't plan to police it. In fact, I think I added a Beverley Minster novel. As for Westminster Abbey - I won't be adding those books but if someone else does that's fine.
Ooh, I'll track down and add that Beverley one!It is based, I *think* on Durham Cathedral, or maybe the York Minster (= Cathedral)?! Something Northern, but it's definitely referred to as a Minster, so I wasn't sure. It might be meant to be like Beverley Minster in scope (= Minster, not Cathedral). :) If you're alright with it staying, regardless of its true ecclesiastical standing, I'll leave it. :)

I'm happy to have Mayne on the list. Cool cover on that one. Master of the Keys is the Beverley one. Not sure about the rest of that series. I try to conserve my votes by not adding every book in a series. I'm itching to add Jonathan Strange. Y/N?

Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell has been added :) Hope that's the right one - I have only 0.5 of one hand with which to type because of a very insistent kitten...

I was looking at GR in the bath. I can't say that it improved the experience. A kitten might.
Capn wrote: "Probably roughly the same - neck cramp, too? I'm not allowed to shift or she gives me the claws..."Horrible allergies. From the kitten, not the bath.
