Technothrillers: Best of All Time
• not a challenge list, don't vote for just 1 book, don't care
• vote for at least 3 books and rank your picks best to worst
• select only books you read, rated 3+, with 500+ ratings
Techno-thrillers explore the ramifications of emerging technology, science, or natural phenomena in a story where your pulse races to thriller intensity at least briefly. The genre tends toward the relatively near-reaching possibilities of sci-fi, and usually includes enough technical detail/explanation to satisfy your inner geek. This is not your classic crime mystery novel. Not a galaxy far, far away. Not a fantasy. Nothing magical. Plausible physics on/near Earth in roughly the near present/future. It can be also be non-fiction, or yes, sometimes it can indeed be rather far-fetched.

Please, per the guidance, do not for just one book. I don’t care if you read 1 book. What we care about is the rank order of the books on the list. So, we want you to pick at least a few books and rank them best to worst. If you’ve only read one book from this list … then … maybe you’re not well-read enough in the genre to really tell us what’s better or worse. If you’re even reading this, you probably have read a few books on the list. I will eventually cull those votes or voters who didn’t follow the written guidance.
Blood on Their Hands has 52 ratings … which is well short of the 500 rating minimum specified for this list. Please delete this book.
Decryptions Gambit has 15 ratings, far short of the 500+ minimum. Please delete this from the list, and review the guidelines.
Decryption Gambit on this list is on this list due to several spam accounts. They are posting to all decades. They have all been reported. Spamming is awful
I’m sure everyone thinks wow, that book must be the best of all time. Voted on by so many accounts with only 1 book and no friends. They vote on 50 lists for the one book. I’m sure no one thinks it is pure spam. I’m sure they all want to read your book. What a marketing genius you are.
Hey! Decryption Gambit and Blood on their Hands finally went away. I only reported them a dozen times each. Progress.
Forbidden Summit has 2 ratings. The guidance says there must be at least 500 ratings. Please remove that book.
