By the way guys, it's ok to add middle grade books to this list. There really aren't enough of them for a separate list.
This is the second time I removed the Coronation Necklace book from the list. It's only for books published in 2014. A 2013 book is not an appropriate addition, so that's why it was deleted.
Is it possible for someone to add my novel in? Twisted (Regal Crest) came out March 7th of this year. If it could be added to the list that would be great.
Just received the ARC books for Lindsay Versus the Marauders, and have made a thread in another section of the LGBT forum. Hope to hear from those out there interested in a grand adventure.
Removed....Cairo in White (adult)
Will Grayson, Will Grayson (2010)
Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe (2012)
Kaje, I've wondered that too. A lot of people are shelving it as YA and mention it's YA in their reviews. Does anyone know how old the main character is? If older than 18, I think it would be better classified as NA rather than YA.
Rainbowheart, is it possible to add in both my novels, Lindsay Versus the Marauders and its sequel, Lindsay, Jo and the Tree of Forever? (If you can't, could you provide a link, please? I'm pretty inept at posting stuff around here). Thanks. :)
Hi Jesse, it looks like you've already added your first book to the list, so feel free to add the second. Just click the "add books to this list" tab at the top. Anyone is welcome to vote for books as long as they have been specifically published for the YA market and the characters are high school age or younger.

have a LGBT theme?
Was there some side-character (that I'm completely forgetting) who was LGBT?
I will have another digital book coming out with DevineDestinies later on this year. It's called Picture (Im)perfect, and it focuses on the relationship between a cisgender straight guy and a transgender girl. It also addresses some issues that gay kids have to go through, and I think it's a well-balanced, sympathetic portrayal of a transgender character. Hopefully, readers will see it that way.
Rainbowheart wrote: "In Noggin, Travis's best friend Kyle is gay. :)"I gotta admit I questioned noggin when I got to it. Not because I forgot about kyle but because kyle being gay is such a small part of the book.
Don't worry about adding books with minor characters. As long as there is at least one identified as LGBT, it definitely belongs on the list. :)
OK so I've been through all of these books and not one of them are what I'm looking for. This book's about these two women who fall in love (obviously) and the main characters name is Brooke. I've been looking for like a week now and I can't find anything about it. The girl Brooke falls in love with someone who owns a pet store and that's how they meet Brooke takes her moms dog there (i think its a Chihuahua or something idk if that will help) Brooke also thinks shes straight until she meets the store owner. The store owner also lives with her gay friend i forget his name but hes pretty flamboyant and stereotypical lol so if any of this info helps anyone find this book please let me know. thanks.
