This list is for those who are new to BDSM concept, but curious and are just beginning to venture out in that direction.
Please, add books that:
1. Define the basic rules of BDSM lifestyle, safety and aftercare
2. Answer basic questions about BDSM, explain the need to be in charge or to submit
3. Do not contain extreme BDSM or severe abuse under pretence of a BDSM relationship
M/M only.

Well, I'm a little intimidated... the newbie part means you have to tread carefully. I'll give my lists a look see too.
Kim Dare's Pushing the Envelope series is good, but it's 14 very short stories, wish they'd been sold as 2 or 3 longer ones.

I think so. Scott is new to D/s, so each book is basically a lesson in BDSM. The books alternate, each MC taking turns choosing something to do.

You're welcome! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did :)
I dont know that there's a list like this. Thank you for creating this list, mammarella!!Because sometimes I feel afraid to read a gay bdsm books. Afraid if it's "too much" for me..
I dont know if you ever read "not his kiss to take" by finn marlowe. I think its kind a fit in this list. And there's "the trap" by indigo wren too...
hmm, not so sure about 'not his kiss' by marlowe on this list. The medical kink alone could be stressful for some... but that's just mho.
I haven't read that one."Word on a wing" and "Slave Boy" are also a little over the top for newbies in my opinion.
Thoughts anyone?
It's a hard line to draw, isn't it?I LoVe 'Rough Canvas' -- it's one of my favorite M/M books. But again, some of the scenes (I'm thinking the club scene where there is public sex) may be over the top for some.
Again, it's all relative.
so you think "not his kiss" kinda over the top, elizabetta? if you guys think I should removed it, i'm gonna do it. just tell me. =)
yeah, i've read "rough canvas". there's a public sex in it. but you're right. it's all relative.
LOL, what have you taken on Mammarella...?There were some elements of D/s in the story but they weren't really a D/s couple. It was more about the medical kink/general kinkiness. I didn't label it BDSM for that reason.
So, it's a toss up. We'll await your verdict, MammaR.
This is very annoying. I can create a list and add to it, but I can't remove books from it.Off to find a librarian to remove 50 shades.
If there is a librarian in this thread, can you please remove Shades of Submission: Fifty by Fifty #1: Billionaire Romance Boxed Set and Slave Boy. Slave Boy goes over the top in the middle and some newbies might find it on extreme side.
@Marlobo ~wants half stars an Comments LIKE buttonThanks for your help!!!
I don't understand why people add books to the lists they don't care about :/ Originally indicated twice that this is m/m only, thinking that would be enough :(
@Anyone who is willing to spend their time and effort, can you please help removing these books from this M/M ONLY list:
