Elizabetta Great idea for a list MammaR :)

M'rella Elizabetta wrote: "Great idea for a list MammaR :)"

Thanks! But I just realised I don't have a lot of "newbie" books on my shelves. Help is definitely needed! :)

message 3: by Elizabetta (new)

Elizabetta Well, I'm a little intimidated... the newbie part means you have to tread carefully. I'll give my lists a look see too.

message 4: by Sunny (new)

Sunny Kim Dare's Pushing the Envelope series is good, but it's 14 very short stories, wish they'd been sold as 2 or 3 longer ones.

I haven't read them. Are they good for newbies?

I think so. Scott is new to D/s, so each book is basically a lesson in BDSM. The books alternate, each MC taking turns choosing something to do.

Thanks! :) I've had this series for ever. I need to read it.

You're welcome! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did :)

message 9: by Makhda (new)

Makhda I dont know that there's a list like this. Thank you for creating this list, mammarella!!
Because sometimes I feel afraid to read a gay bdsm books. Afraid if it's "too much" for me..
I dont know if you ever read "not his kiss to take" by finn marlowe. I think its kind a fit in this list. And there's "the trap" by indigo wren too...

message 10: by M'rella (new)

M'rella Hi, Makhda! Thank you for contributing to the list :)

message 11: by Elizabetta (new)

Elizabetta hmm, not so sure about 'not his kiss' by marlowe on this list. The medical kink alone could be stressful for some... but that's just mho.

message 12: by M'rella (new)

M'rella I haven't read that one.
"Word on a wing" and "Slave Boy" are also a little over the top for newbies in my opinion.

Thoughts anyone?

message 13: by Elizabetta (new)

Elizabetta It's a hard line to draw, isn't it?

I LoVe 'Rough Canvas' -- it's one of my favorite M/M books. But again, some of the scenes (I'm thinking the club scene where there is public sex) may be over the top for some.

Again, it's all relative.

message 14: by Makhda (new)

Makhda so you think "not his kiss" kinda over the top, elizabetta?
if you guys think I should removed it, i'm gonna do it. just tell me. =)
yeah, i've read "rough canvas". there's a public sex in it. but you're right. it's all relative.

message 15: by M'rella (new)

M'rella I can't judge, I haven't read it. I guess I need to read it now :)

message 16: by Elizabetta (new)

Elizabetta LOL, what have you taken on Mammarella...?

There were some elements of D/s in the story but they weren't really a D/s couple. It was more about the medical kink/general kinkiness. I didn't label it BDSM for that reason.

So, it's a toss up. We'll await your verdict, MammaR.

Marlobo ♥ epilogues Fifty Grades... isn't LGBT

message 18: by M'rella (new)

M'rella This is very annoying. I can create a list and add to it, but I can't remove books from it.

Off to find a librarian to remove 50 shades.

message 19: by M'rella (new)

M'rella If there is a librarian in this thread, can you please remove Shades of Submission: Fifty by Fifty #1: Billionaire Romance Boxed Set and Slave Boy. Slave Boy goes over the top in the middle and some newbies might find it on extreme side.

Thanks for your help!!!

I don't understand why people add books to the lists they don't care about :/ Originally indicated twice that this is m/m only, thinking that would be enough :(

@Anyone who is willing to spend their time and effort, can you please help removing these books from this M/M ONLY list:

Club Alpha is NOT m/m
Shades of Domination: Fifty by Fifty #2: Billionaire Romance Boxed Set is NOT m/m
Slave is NOT m/m
Driftwood Deeds is NOT m/m
Grand Slam is NOT m/m
The Awakening: Book One of the Chronicles of the Nubian Underworld is NOT m/m
Stately Pleasures is NOT m/m
Legacy: Book Two of the Chronicles of the Nubian Underworld is NOT m/m
Healing Submission: Tales of Hurt and Comfort Boxed Setis NOT m/m
Surrendering to himis NOT m/m
Wicked Wonderland is NOT m/m
Tempest is NOT m/m
Highland Shifters: Paranormal Romance Boxed Set is NOT m/m
The Pleasure In Surrender is NOT m/m
Turning Tricks is NOT m/m
Testing Tom is NOT m/m
The Vigilante's Lover is NOT m/m

Marlobo ♥ epilogues On my way! :)

Marlobo ♥ epilogues Done. I removed The Vigilante's Lover I & II.
