I had to include Maud from When Christ and His Saints Slept. She had me wanting to throw that book so many times because of her bull-headed stupidity that kept a country in devastating war for years.

The heroine of Dressed to Slay wins for walking into a vampire's lair without a stake and only getting away with it because the vampire, who is not so bright herself, has left the Top Secret Best Vamp Slaying Weapon Evar in plain sight on her desk.

But the woman from Beyond the Pale is great competition for her. She's supposedly a 500-year-old with a genius IQ, and she's a spy, but when hormones enter the picture, she'll spill anything to the first hot guy who wanders along.

And Nikki from Dead Girls are Easy had the whole mystery solved for her and didn't notice.

Wise old lady: Hey, Nikki, the villain is XYZ.

Nikki: Doop-de-doo, what villain?

I chose Taya from Clockwork Heart because seriously, what the heck? Among other things, she goes unescorted and unarmed to the home of a man she believes to be a dangerous terrorist, goes inside said home when she finds the door unlocked, then does not flee--in fact, if I recall correctly, she stays around for tea--when the man she suspects to be a dangerous terrorist comes home and finds her there.

I mean seriously, wut?

I can't believe WCAHSS has two votes already. My Medieval Miss in A Shield of Roses, despite being captured by evil soldiers and nearly raped still goes anywhere and everywhere unattended without even a shudder at what could happen again. That and when she sets out in the middle of the night into the forest when she's finally caught ROFL when she realizes she headed in the wrong direction.

Well, these lists can be "slag off on the romances" type deals, and I wanted to spread the TSTL love around to the legitimate thee-ay-ter of HF. :P

Twilight - no explanation required.
50 Shades - because Ana is a college student who doesn't know how to use email...
Lady of Hay - because Jo never even thinks of getting her locks changed despite the fact that ex-boyfriend who is now displaying violent tendencies is still running around with a key to her flat.
