Goodreads asked Lisa M. Prysock:

Who is your favorite fictional couple, and why?

Lisa M. Prysock I have four favorite fictional couples. I love Laura and Almanzo from the "Little House" books. I like that she called him Manly and stood up to him about the terms of their courtship. I'm thinking of that scene where she said he needn't come pick her up if he was planning on bringing Nellie along. The very next week he left Nellie at home from that point on. Laura finally knew where his heart stood. I also like that he eventually built her another home at Rocky Ridge after the challenges they faced in the early years.

My next favorite couple is Anne and Gilbert from "Anne of Green Gables!" I like that she didn't like him at first but that the relationship blossomed into the story of Rainbow Valley. I love that he didn't give up on her and that they both had time to pursue college and some of their dreams before they married. I love that they overcame so many challenges to be together and that they faced heartache together. They were truly childhood sweethearts.

I can't leave out Darcy & Elizabeth. They had so much to discover and wade through as a couple. Somehow they both came to their senses in spite of their pride and prejudices.

Finally, I really admire Rhett & Scarlett. I like her spunk and determination. I like Rhett's deep love for her and that in the sequel to "Gone With the Wind," their love finally came together, though we had to wait forever to find out. This couple infuriated me for the longest time, but they have remained a favorite for me.
